In March 2024, the Universal Postal Union (UPU) launched the #WomenHistoryMonth and #SheStamps campaigns for the first time. Within the campaign, philatelic products dedicated to famous and brilliant women from around the world are presented.
The next edition of UPU is dedicated to outstanding ophthalmologist-scientist, honored scientist of the Republic of Azerbaijan, doctor of medical sciences, academician Zarifa Aliyeva.
In the post published on the official pages of UPU, detailed information was given about the professional activity of the outstanding ophthalmologist-scientist who made an important contribution to the development of the field of ophthalmology in Azerbaijan.
The postage stamp used in the campaign was issued in 2018 and is dedicated to the 95th anniversary of Mrs. Zarifa Aliyeva.
