Shusha's declaration as the cultural capital of the Turkic world has led to the creation of a postage stamp.

In the framework of the I Turkic World Culture Forum, a postage stamp titled "Shusha - Cultural Capital of the Turkic World" was officially stamped on the "First Day Cover" on the occasion of Shusha city being declared the "Cultural Capital of the Turkic World" for the year 2023 by the decision of the Permanent Council of TURKSOY.

Sitarə Hüseynova, the head of the Stamp Department of "Azerpost" LLC, provided information about the postage stamp. She noted that the release consists of a block containing 1 stamp with a print run of 5,000. The block features the "Shusha-2023" logo, flags of TURKSOY member countries, and Shusha's attributes. The author of the design is the artist Orkhan Qarayev.

It was mentioned that last year, on the occasion of the 270th anniversary of Shusha city, various postage stamps were issued in 21 different designs. These stamps included information about Shusha's history, culture, and prominent figures. A book titled "Shusha Postage Stamps" was also published, featuring these stamps.

Subsequently, the Minister of Culture Adil Kerimli and the Secretary-General of TURKSOY, Sultan Raev, stamped the postage stamps and signed them. Finally, commemorative photographs were taken.
