Azerbaijan's postage stamps meet with great interest at the international exhibition

World Stamp Exhibition – the China 2019 World Stamp Exhibition – took place at the Wuhan International Expo Center on Yingwu Avenue in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China, on June 11-17, 2019.
The above mentioned exhibition which dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, can be considered one of the most significant events held in the country in 2019.
Postal organizations from 84 countries and regions of the world were represented at the exhibition with 4683 postage stamps.
Azermarka LLC under the Ministry of Transport, Communication and High Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan represented at the China 2019 World Stamp Exhibition with the postage stamps in the themes of "Symbols of statehood", "Prominent figures", "Flora and Fauna", "Azerbaijani sport", "Ancient and modern architecture", "Joint editions" and so on, as well as philatelic and collection examples such as first day covers, prints of commemorative stamps, card maximums, postage cards.
It is notable that Azerbaijan's postage stamps aroused great interest among local philatelists. Collectionists mostly wanted to purchase stamps dedicated to the state symbols, nature, celebrities and national holidays of Azerbaijan.
At the same time, a conference entitled “Philatelic innovations in the field of stamps protection” was held at the Wuhan International Expo Center by the organizational support of World Association for the Development of Philately (WADP).
At the opening of the event, Mr. Ming Zhao, Deputy Director of the State Post of the People's Republic of China, Olfa Mokaddem, program manager of the Universal Postal Union and Mr. Anton Adibekov, Chairman of the World Association for the Development of Philately delivered speech.
At the conference the presentations of Russia, China, Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, the International Philatelic Federation, as well as manufacturers of protected printing products were reviewed.
The closing ceremony of CHINA 2019 World Stamp Exhibition took place on June 14 in Wuhan.
