Azermarka LLC, which operates under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies, has issued a postage stamp to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Ahmadiyya Jabrailov, a partisan, one of the notable members of the World War II French Resistance.

This is a souvenir sheet with a single stamp. The sheet depicts a Wehrmacht soldier attaching a wanted poster seeking Ahmadiyya Jabrailov nicknamed Chargo on one of the walls in Paris, which was occupied by Nazi Germany during World War II.

The stamp bears a portrait of Ahmadiyya Jabrailov, the Eiffel Tower on the left-hand side of the sheet, while the wall on the right-hand side shows the emblem of Maquis, one of the groups of the French Resistance movement. The stamp is aimed to raise awareness among local and foreign philatelists as well as worldwide stamp collectors about Ahmadiyya Jabrailov. The stamp published in the Republic of Belarus with a print run of 7,000 copies was designed by Azermarka’s chief artist Vugar Eyyubov.

In addition, 200 First Day envelopes have been issued and put on sale.
