The sealing ceremony of the postage stamp dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Philatelists Union was held.

The postage stamp, released in connection with the 25th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Philatelists Union, was issued by "Azerpost" LLC, which operates under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. In this regard, a meeting was organized between the leadership of "Azerpost" and members of the Azerbaijan Philatelists Union.

The event was attended by Isi Mustafayev, temporarily performing the duties of the head of the Management Board of "Azerpost" LLC, Sitarə Hüseynova, the director of the Stamp Department, Intiqam Bağırlı, the president of the Azerbaijan Philatelists Union, as well as members of the Union and well-known philatelists.

It was reported that regular meetings between the leadership of "Azerpost" and philatelists are being held, where discussions about innovations in this field take place, and proposals are considered. The close collaboration between the two institutions is consistently maintained.

Later, the sealing ceremony of the postage stamps took place. Isi Mustafayev and Intiqam Bağırlı, temporarily performing the duties of the head of the Management Board of "Azerpost" LLC and the president of the Azerbaijan Philatelists Union, respectively, sealed the stamps.

It is worth noting that the stamps, prepared by "Azerpost" LLC, were printed in Bobruysk, Belarus, with a circulation of 4000 copies.

It is important to remember that the history of philately in Azerbaijan dates back to the Soviet era. After the declaration of independence in Azerbaijan, philatelists operated as a club. Later, on December 29, 1998, the club was registered with the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan as the "Azerbaijan Philatelists Union." In 2023, the Union was re-registered at the Ministry of Justice and obtained the status of "Public Association." Currently, the Union unites over 200 members.
